About Me
BA (Hons) DCH BSCH Registered
Hi, I'm Geraldine - Gerry to most people - and I have been helping people make the changes they want to make to feel happier, and healthier with the use of hypnosis for the last 20 years. During that time there have been many advances in our understanding of how the mind works and hence my ability to help people even more quickly and effectively, especially in the areas of anxiety, depression and trauma.
I am a science-based, solution-focused Therapist, which means I use techniques based on science that have been proven to work. I concentrate on solutions, looking forwards, and guiding clients to where they want to be/feel in the shortest time possible - although I will spend some time gathering the history and details of any problem, I find constantly focusing on the past or problem tends to keep people in them it's hard to move forward if you are constantly looking back!

Hypnotherapy is a brief strategic therapy which can produce results that feel natural fast. In my experience, clients want to start feeling better now, not in 6 months or a year's time.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered, focused state of awareness accessed through relaxation. We all experience different states of awareness every day, in fact the trance state is very natural you may recognise those experiences of being "miles away" in a daydream until someone calls your name, and you are suddenly "back in the room". It's similar to that experience of lost miles when driving or time flashing by when you are absorbed in a movie or a good book, you cease to be aware of your environment. During these times, the unconscious mind is much more open and receptive to suggestions and therefore the ideal state to absorb and make those changes you want to make
Why Hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful relaxed, natural state during which I can help you to access the power of your own mind to help you achieve your goals, whether that is to overcome fears/phobias, increase confidence and self-esteem, lose weight, stop smoking or improve sleep or performance.

There is no limit to what can be changed!
