Anxiety is exhausting

The anxious mind is a stressed mind that never seems to quiet down, constantly whirling away, worrying, going over and over things in the mind, what ifs this happens, what if that happens, "why did they say that"… Turning things over and over, making mountains out of mole hills constantly playing the negative scenarios in the head, ramping the fear, it's exhausting!! Often people tell me they aren't even sure what they are worrying about, the anxiety seems to "come out of nowhere"

This Perpetual state of anxiety can lead to all sorts of other problems, sleep disturbance, tension headaches, IBS, acid reflux, the list is endless, not to mention the sapping of confidence and self-esteem. Anxiety releases adrenaline cortisol into your system which overtime effects your immune system making you more susceptible to coughs, colds, etc and generally feeling tired and run down.

Most interventions for anxiety, including antidepressants, aim to help you cope with the symptoms as if anxiety is a lifelong affliction. I do not agree with this. You are not born anxious it's something learned and anything learned can be unlearned, and this is what I aim to help you do.
